The whole world is fighting the
pandemic which has become like a war to be fought and this can not be fought
with weapons but can be fought with solidarity and maturity. Everyone has to contribute
their part and take the pledge by not bringing this Virus home, just by avoiding
this you are not only helping yourself but to your family, neighbors, locality,
city, state, country and even to world.
I would request all to read this
and at least contribute to whatever form you can to save the mankind. Let me
divide this into 2 parts one is our responsibility and the other is preparedness
by government.
Our Responsibility/Duty in fighting
this Pandemic:
Before going into that, I would
like to explain what stages are and how this will grow exponentially if we don’t
understand the magnitude of this Pandemic.
Stage 1 is defined by the
identification of the person who has Corona symptoms and is Quarantined before
he has spread it to anyone.
Stage 2 is defined by the
identification of the source from the infected person and all are quarantined. Stage
3 is when the source can not be identified and the disease is locally
transmitted, now here comes the deadly darkness where we don’t know the source
and the ones who are infected by the unknown source and this becomes
exponential because the one infected doesn’t know he is the carrier and the one
who got infected by the person also is unaware from where he got this. This
generally comes from the gatherings and the infection spreads without people knowing
it.
And hence the lockdown is
required which breaks the chain. If this lockdown becomes successful, then we
need to treat only those people who are infected and their family members with
whom they stayed which will be still manageable number and if we don’t take it
seriously then we are not far from repenting our act. Now coming to the
responsibilities/duty we as an individual should judiciously offer
Our responsibilities:
1. Lockdown
should be taken very seriously, unless it is very necessary, we should not go
out. Even in necessity if we are going out we should be equipped with all the
necessary precautions (Sanitizer, Gloves, Mask etc with social distancing).
After returning change clothes and take bath without touching any thing
2. Make
at least 10 people aware daily about the benefits of lockdown, spread the
positive vibes and give moral support to people having trouble
3. In
this time of crisis, extend your helping hand to those who live on their daily
wages by helping them financially or empowering them by getting their share reached
to them which Government has declared by tweeting to the known corporators or
PMO. Make some arrangements to provide them the food so that they don’t have to
go out
4. We should give our household help 21 days paid
leave and provide them the necessities required for them to stay home
Preparedness by Government:
1. Special
task force to be formed who can connect to people in need, here I would suggest
to have tie up with Big E Commerce companies like Flipkart/Amazon who have
access to majority smartphone holders which must not be lesser than ~50%. They
can provide deliveries (Only necessary commodities) to people ordering them and
they can be screened and even tracked if anyone found positive. Also they
should check the people in the house for their well being and inform medical aid
is required. That way majority people can lock themselves
2. Curfew
to be imposed with only limited services running, Police force to be provided with
proper precautions (Hand Gloves, Sanitizers, Mask etc.) they should also
understand that this is not the curfew to stop riots but this is the curfew to
be prevented from Virus, rather than beating people and become Virus Carrier financial
or strict penalties are to be imposed. 2 warnings and their licenses to be
cancelled
3. Government
to make sure people get adequate supply of necessities (Paid) to their houses
by this special task force so that they will remain at home
4. Media
to be spreading positive message and mount a campaign to connect people online
and motivate them to stay home, they should be helping people in need and should
also raise funds by this campaign.
5. All
millionaires/Billionaires/celebrities/Cricketers to come out helping government
and people for fighting this Pandemic
This Pandemic should not only be
restricted and controlled for you but for your family and closed ones as well.
Lets setup an example to the world that United we stand, and we are capable of
handling any calamity with Solidarity and Courage.
